Larry specializes in tutoring students interested in Pantser writing (writing fiction without an outline, i.e., by the seat of your pants) and poetry.
Larry resides in Torrance County in central New Mexico and provides online and in-person tutoring and classes.
Qualifications:
Larry has a Bachelor of Science Degree (in education) from Mississippi State University. A Master’s Degree (in education) from Mississippi State University. An Educational Specialist Degree (in Education) from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master’s Degree in English (Creative writing/poetry) from the University of New Mexico.
Larry has over ten years of experience teaching high school and college-level courses.
Larry has published four books of panster fiction and one book of unique Poetry.

My Teaching Style
As a pantser and/or an imaginative poet, you will learn to write by instinct, following characters, moods, and metaphors (or themes) wherever they lead. The process is less about outlines and more about discovering the story/poem as it is being written. This intuitive approach gives rise to fresh, authentic poetry and fictional narratives that surprise even the writer.
I specialize in helping fellow creatives embrace this method while refining their craft. Whether you’re working on off-the-cuff (pantser) fiction with genre-bending narratives or imaginative poetry, I’ll meet you where you are in your writing. We’ll explore voice, imagery, pacing, and emotional resonance to ensure your writing stays true to its developing concept, and I will guide you in polishing the product until it shines.
